Following the success of our recent merger, we are continuing to grow through the development of our team. Due to the expansion of our business and with exciting projects on the horizon, such as big plans to move into Norwich, we are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join us.
Based in Great Yarmouth, you will provide expert assistance and support to our customers. We are an award-winning full-service IT systems company that supplies, installs and maintains business IT systems for local SME organisations.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an IT support professional with excellent Windows Server, Exchange/365 and project management skills.
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will be tasked with supporting our SME customers across North Suffolk and East Norfolk. Working with customers’ IT systems, you will solve a broad spectrum of customer IT support cases by telephone, remotely or on-site in an efficient and professional manner.
Specifically, your role will involve managing assigned cases, assisting other team members when necessary and updating customers on the progress of their case.
This is a high-level role that will see you acting as a ‘go-to’ person within the Technical Team, dealing with complex technical designs, projects and escalations.
Interested? If so, previous experience of the following will be vital:
– Server configuration and troubleshooting, including Hyper-V
– Server migrations and installations
– Network design and support
– MS 365 setup and migration
You will also need:
– An MCITP level qualification, or be willing to prove your ability to support at this level
– Good experience and knowledge of antivirus applications and backup applications
– A high level of proficiency with TCP/IP and VPN routing
– A full driving licence
Additionally, as a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will need to demonstrate a can-do attitude, the willingness to go the extra mile and strong communication skills. The ability to lead and motivate others will be key, as will pressurised working skills and plenty of initiative.
A Cisco qualification or previous Cisco experience would be highly desirable, but this is by no means essential. Experience of working for a service provider or within a managed service environment would also be beneficial.
Please note, the working hours for this role are 8:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday.
