Windows 10 - END OF LIFE

As part of Microsoft’s Lifecycle Policy, Windows 10 will officially become end of life on October 14th, 2025.  That means that from that date, there will be no more feature enhancements, bug-fixes, and most importantly of all, no security updates.

That means that any devices that you have which are not running Windows 11 will be a significant risk, and will be an unacceptable threat to your system security.

We have been here before, with the end of previous Windows versions such as Windows XP and Windows 7, and the business process choices are the same –  Upgrade, Replace or Remove.

To be clear, any devices not running Windows 11 will compromise your overall security.

Microsoft have strict rules on which hardware is suitable for running Windows 11 – for the techies amongst you it all revolves around the ‘TPM chip’ which is instrumental in maintaining device security – and so you will need advice on the options open to you.

As a rough guide, depending on the age (typically no more than 4-5 years old), devices may be suitable for upgrade, but for those older devices which are not compatible the only option is to replace them with new Windows 11 devices, or to remove them from your system.

Please do reach out the usual team with any questions or concerns you may have, but we will be in touch with all our customers to ensure a smooth transition to Windows 11 for everyone.
